How customers approve a quote
What your customer sees on their quote page, how they approve, ask for changes or decline, and how to record an approval for them.
Your customer opens the quote from the link you sent. They don't need an account or an app. The page shows your name and logo and works on a phone.

What the customer does
Choose an option
If the quote has options, the customer picks one under Choose an option. Options show side by side with their pictures, highlights and guarantee, and the recommended one is marked.
Pick optional extras
Under Optional extras, they tick what they'd like added. The total and any deposit update as they go.
Check the proofs
If the quote has designs, they see a proof of each one with its mockups. They can comment on a proof or ask for changes to it. See Artwork & proofs.
Give their answer
Under Your answer, they choose:
- Approve: they read your terms, type their full name to sign, tick that they agree, and click Approve quote.
- Request changes: they write what they'd like changed and click Send request.
- Decline: they can give a reason, then click Decline quote.
After they answer, the page shows the outcome and can't be answered again. If you asked for a deposit and take online payments, an approved quote shows Pay deposit. See Ask for a deposit.
What you see
The quote's status changes to Approved, Changes requested or Declined, and the Status panel on the quote shows when it happened. An approval keeps the customer's name, the option and extras they chose, the totals and the exact terms they agreed to.
- Changes requested: edit the quote, then send it again.
- Approved: approving the quote approves its proofs too. Next, turn it into an invoice.
Record an approval for the customer
If the customer says yes by phone or in person:
- Open the quote and click Mark approved (in the more-actions menu).
- Choose the option and extras they agreed to.
- Type the Customer's name (optional) and click Mark approved.
The quote shows Marked approved by your team. Owners, admins and staff can do this.
When a quote expires
A sent quote expires once its Valid until date passes, and the customer can no longer approve it. To give them more time, edit the quote and move the date forward: it goes back to Awaiting approval and the same link works again.
Set the terms customers sign
The text above the signature is your quote terms. Owners and admins set it in Settings → Company profile under What customers sign. See Set up your company profile.
