Store managers and affiliate stores

Let the person a store is for manage it on the store's own site, or set a store up as an affiliate site where someone sells their own decorated items that you fulfil.

You set stores up for companies, schools and fundraisers. The person responsible for a store (for example the marketing manager at the company) can manage it themselves on the store's own site: they sign in with their email, with no password and without taking a seat on your team.

What a store manager can do

  • Products: show, hide, put in order and move between categories the items in the store, take items out, and put back the products you prepared for their company (the customer's products). New designs still come from you.
  • Orders: see the store's orders and export them as a spreadsheet (CSV).
  • Store page: change the banner title, welcome text, banner picture, logo, contact details and the category list.
  • Shoppers: choose who can shop (anyone, a store password, a company email domain or invited people only), change the password, invite people, and change the allowance per person in stores that use one.
  • Open or close the store. You get a notification when a manager closes or reopens a store.

A manager never sees your other customers or records, and in a managed store can't change prices.

Add a manager

  1. Open the store and go to Managers. The store must be for a customer (choose it in Settings first).
  2. Type the person's Email (and name), then click Add manager.
  3. Click Send sign-in link: they get an email telling them where to sign in. You can also copy the address shown (the store's address followed by /manage).

To take access away, click the bin next to the manager: they are signed out at once.

A store's customer can't be changed while it has managers: they act for that customer. Remove the managers first.

Affiliate stores

An affiliate store is for a person or brand who sells their own decorated items while you print and ship them. On the store's Managers tab, set Store type to Affiliate, then:

  • choose the blanks offered to the affiliate: the products they can put their artwork on;
  • keep Review affiliate items before they go live on (the default) to check each item's artwork first.

The affiliate signs in like any manager. On New item they pick a blank, colours and where the artwork goes, upload their artwork, name the item and set their selling price. SKUFlow makes the design and works out the base price: the blank's price plus your decoration price per piece from your price list. That base price is the item's customer price (what you charge the affiliate), and you can change it on the customer's Products like any customer price. The selling price can't be lower than the base price, for every size.

With review on, the item waits under Affiliate items on the store's Managers tab: open its design, then Approve (it goes live) or Refuse with a reason.

Affiliate earnings and payouts

When an order in an affiliate store is paid (or approved, for invoiced stores), the affiliate earns the selling price minus the base price for each piece. A cancelled, rejected or refunded order takes its earnings back. The affiliate sees what they earned and what you paid on their Earnings page.

SKUFlow doesn't send the money: pay the affiliate the way you agreed (bank transfer, cheque…), then on the store's Managers tab click Record payout to mark everything owed as paid. Online stores → Affiliate stores shows every affiliate store's sales, what is owed and what was paid.

Owners and admins record payouts. Owners, admins and staff can see the earnings.
