Record a payment
Record cash, checks, bank transfers and card payments taken outside SKUFlow against an invoice, with an optional tip and receipt.
Record a payment whenever money arrives outside SKUFlow's online payments: cash at pickup, a check in the mail, a bank transfer, a card on your own terminal. Recording doesn't charge the customer; it records money you received. Owners, admins and staff can record payments.
Open the invoice
In the menu, click Invoices and open it. On a sent invoice, Record payment is the main button.
Click Record payment

Enter the amount
The Amount starts at the balance due. Type less for a partial payment. You can't record more than the balance: add anything extra as a Tip.
Fill in the details
Choose the Method (Cash, Check, Card, Bank transfer or Other), the Date received, and a Reference such as the check number or the card's last four digits. The Note is internal and never shown to the customer.
Choose whether to send a receipt
Leave Send the customer a receipt ticked to send one (when your payment receipt automation is on), or untick it to record the payment quietly.
Record it
Click the record button, which shows the amount (for example Record $412.50).
When the payments cover the total, the invoice is marked Paid. A partial payment leaves it Sent or Overdue, with Partially paid beside it.
Mark an invoice paid
Clicking Paid in the invoice's Status panel opens the same dialog with the balance filled in, so you choose how it was paid.
Tips
Tips never reduce the balance and aren't counted as revenue or lifetime value. They're reported on their own: Tips on the invoice and on the Payments page.
See every payment
Billing → Payments lists every payment and deposit, with Collected, Tips and Refunded totals. Filter by date, Payment method or Payment source, search, and click Export CSV to download them.
