Customers

Keep every customer, contact and ship-to address in one place.

Customers are the companies, schools, teams and people you sell to. Each customer keeps their contacts with their roles, their billing and ship-to addresses, payment terms and tax status, notes and files, and the whole history of requests, quotes, invoices and payments.

You'll find them under Customers → Customers in the menu. Open one to see everything about them on one page: Insights, Contacts, Addresses, Invoices, Billing, Notes and Files, with their Balance and Lifetime value at the top.

Key ideas

  • Residential or commercial. A commercial customer has a company name; a residential one is a person.
  • Contacts. A customer can have many contacts, each with roles such as Billing or Receiving / site. One is the primary contact, whose phone and email show on lists, quotes and invoices.
  • Addresses. The billing address is where invoices go. Ship-to addresses are where orders ship, and each keeps its own notes and history.
  • Status. Lead, Active, Inactive or Archived. A lead becomes active with their first invoice.
  • Balance and lifetime value are worked out from invoices and payments, never typed in.

Tasks

  • Customer portal: a private page where customers see their quotes and invoices and pay online.
  • Customer 360: health scores, predictions and a timeline for each customer.
  • Imports: bring your customer list from another system or a spreadsheet.
