Pricing rules
Turn your product cost into your selling price with markups by cost tier, kind, brand, category or supplier.
Pricing rules set your product prices from cost, so you don't price thousands of colors and sizes by hand. When a supplier's cost changes, prices follow. Owners and admins can change rules; everyone can see them.
Without any rules, products use keystone pricing: cost × 2, ending in .99. Prices you set on a variant yourself are never changed by a rule.

Choose what it applies to
Give it a Name. Under Applies to, pick the Kind, Supplier, Brand or Category it covers, or leave them on Any for every product.
Set the markup by cost
Under Markup by cost, each tier starts From cost and applies a Markup:
- Markup %: cost plus a percent. A $4.00 blank at 100% sells for $8.00.
- Multiplier: cost times a number. A $4.00 blank at 2.5 sells for $10.00.
Click Add tier to mark up cheap blanks more than expensive ones, for example 150% from $0, 100% from $5 and 60% from $15.
Round and protect your margin
- Rounding: No rounding, Up to .99 or Up to the dollar. Rounding only goes up, so it never cuts your margin.
- Min margin %: the price is raised if needed so you always make at least this margin.
Check and save
The rule shows what it makes of typical costs. Type A cost of to try your own. Click Save rule. Every product that follows the rule is repriced right away.
Which rule prices a product
- A rule picked on the product itself (under Pricing on the product page).
- Otherwise, the most specific rule that matches. A rule that names a kind, brand and supplier wins over one that names only a kind. If two match equally, the lower Priority wins.
- Otherwise, the rule marked Default rule.
- Otherwise, keystone: cost × 2, ending in .99.
