Messaging & email

Set up email

Send customer emails through SKUFlow email, from SKUFlow's address or your own domain, or connect your own email provider.

New businesses send email through SKUFlow email from the start: no email account, keys or DNS needed. Emails go out with your business's name, and replies come straight to you. Owners and admins manage email in Settings → Messaging.

Setup status at the top of Settings → Messaging shows, for email and texting, what works today and the one thing each still needs.

Turn on SKUFlow email

If email still says Test mode (emails are logged, never sent), open the Email panel and click Use SKUFlow email. Emails really go out from then on.

Who it's from

Emails come from your business name at SKUFlow's sending address. Replies go to your Reply-to email under Sender details (or the owner's email if that's empty). Change the sender name and reply-to there. See Sending rules.

Send from your own domain

Emails can come from an address at your own domain, like office@yourshop.com. Until the domain is verified, emails keep going from the SKUFlow address, so nothing stops.

Add your domain

In the Email panel, under Your own domain (optional), type your domain and click Add domain.

Add the DNS records

Add the records shown at your domain's DNS host (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google…). The three CNAME records are Required: they verify the domain. The others are Recommended: they help your emails reach inboxes. Skip the DMARC record if your domain already has one.

Check

Click Check now. SKUFlow also checks again by itself. When the domain shows Verified, choose the address to Send from and click Save address.

If your SKUFlow website uses the same domain, add these records at the same DNS host where you added the website's.

Limits

Each plan includes a number of emails a month, and there's a daily limit; emails over it wait until the next day. The Email panel shows today's count. See Account & billing.

If too many emails bounce or are marked as spam, SKUFlow pauses sending and tells owners and admins. Clean up old or mistyped addresses, then click Resume sending. If it pauses again within 30 days, contact SKUFlow support.

Use your own email provider

Under How you email, choose Use my own provider to connect Resend, Postmark, SendGrid, Mailgun or Amazon SES. Fill in the provider's details, paste the Webhook URLs shown into your provider so bounces and complaints come back, and click Save provider. Use Send a test to check it. Back to test mode disconnects it.

Credentials are stored encrypted and never shown again; only their last four characters are.
