Buy blanks for an order

Make draft purchase orders for the blanks and outsourced decoration an order still needs, one per vendor.

When an order needs blanks you don't have, SKUFlow can make the purchase orders for you: one draft per vendor, each line linked to the order line it's for. When they arrive, the order's goods check ticks itself off.

Owners and admins can buy for an order.

Open the order

Click Orders and open the order. Lines still to buy show To buy under Goods.

Start buying

In the Before production panel, click Buy, or open the More menu and choose Buy blanks and decoration.

Check the purchase orders

Buy for this order shows the purchase orders it will make, grouped by vendor:

  • Blanks from a connected supplier catalog go to that supplier's vendor.
  • Decoration for jobs you outsource goes to the decorator set on the decoration method, at its cost.
  • Blanks with no supplier are grouped under No vendor yet. Choose one in Buy blanks without a supplier from.

Make them

Click Make purchase orders. They're saved as drafts and the order's lines become Ordered. Nothing is sent to the vendor.

Place them with your vendors

Open each purchase order, place it with the vendor (their website, email or phone) and click Mark sent. Add the Vendor's order number, Carrier and Tracking numbers when you have them.

SKUFlow doesn't place the order with the supplier for you. Mark sent only records the date.

When the goods arrive

Receive the purchase order. Each order line takes what arrived and becomes Received once all of it is in. An outsourced job comes back as done. The order then moves on to production by itself.
