Receive a purchase order

Record what arrived on a purchase order, in full or in part. Stock and item costs update, and orders waiting on goods move on.

Receive a purchase order when the box arrives. Count what came in and record it: SKUFlow adds it to stock, updates the item's cost and moves on any order that was waiting for it.

Owners and admins can receive purchase orders.

Open the purchase order

Click Purchase orders and open it.

Receive

Click Receive. Each line shows how many are still to come.

Enter what arrived

Enter the quantity for each line that came in, or click Receive all if everything arrived. You can't receive more than was ordered.

Confirm

Click Receive. A summary shows what was received and any Cost changes. Click Done.

If only part arrived, the purchase order is Partly received. Receive the rest when it comes.

What receiving changes

  • Stocked items are added to the purchase order's location, and the move shows in the ledger.
  • Item cost becomes the average of what's on hand and what you paid on this order. Quotes and invoices you already wrote keep their own cost.
  • Blanks bought for an order go onto that order's lines instead of into stock. Each line becomes Received once all of it is in.
  • Outsourced decoration marks its job done on the production board.
