Purchasing & inventory

Create a purchase order

Order supplies and stocked items from a vendor, print the purchase order and mark it sent.

Create a purchase order by hand to restock supplies or blanks you keep on the shelf. For blanks an order needs, let SKUFlow make them: see Buy blanks for an order.

Owners and admins can create purchase orders.

Start a new purchase order

In the left menu, click Purchase orders, then New purchase order.

Choose the vendor and where it goes

Choose the Vendor and Deliver to (the stock location it's received into). Add an Expected date and Notes if you like.

Add lines

Search for an item, then enter its Quantity and Unit cost. Click Add line for more. Lines without a unit cost use the item's current cost.

Save it

Click Save draft. It gets a number (PO-1, PO-2…).

Send it to the vendor

Click Print to print it or save it as a PDF, send it to your vendor yourself, then click Mark sent.

Nothing is emailed to the vendor. Mark sent records when you placed the order.

Change or cancel a purchase order

A draft or sent purchase order can be changed with Edit until something arrives. To call it off, choose Cancel order. A purchase order with receipts can be cancelled but not deleted.

Find purchase orders

The Purchase orders list shows each one's vendor, where it's delivered, status (Draft, Sent, Partly received, Received, Cancelled), expected date and total. Filter by status or vendor, or search.
