Add phone numbers
Buy a local number or use one you have, label it with its source, and add a phone menu.
Your main line and any tracking numbers are listed under Numbers in Settings → Phone. Owners and admins manage them.
Add a number
In Settings → Phone, under Numbers, click Add number.
Choose Buy a new number, or Use a number I have if it's already on your account.
To buy, search by area code, or by digits or a word inside the number (for example "PRINT": letters count as keypad digits, * is any one digit). Pick a number from Available numbers; the monthly price is shown.
Click Buy number and confirm.
Label the number and its source
Click Edit on a number. Give it a Label and choose its Source: where you publish it. Calls to it are reported under that source.

Choose the Ring group that answers it, or leave the default.
Add a phone menu
Under Phone menu, turn on Play a menu and write the Menu greeting, for example "Thanks for calling. For quotes and orders, press 1. For billing, press 2." Click Add option for each choice: a Digit, a Choice label and the ring group it Rings. You need a ring group first.
Show a tracking number on your website
Under Website number insertion, set the utm_source (and optionally utm_medium) of visitors who should see this number, for example google and cpc for Google Ads. Everyone else sees your Website number. See Track which numbers bring in work.
Release a number
Click Release. The number goes back to the carrier: it stops ringing and someone else may take it. Its call history stays. This can't be undone.
