Plan jobs on your presses

Schedule jobs on your presses and machines day by day, see each one's load against its capacity, and let SKUFlow plan the rest.

The schedule shows each press's planned work against how much it can do in a day, so you can see a busy week coming. You can plan jobs one at a time or let SKUFlow plan them all.

Owners, admins and staff can plan jobs. You need at least one press or machine first: see Set up presses and machines.

Open the schedule

Click Production board, then set View to Schedule. Use ← Earlier, Today and Later → to move through the days.

Each press has a row with a bar for every working day: how much is planned out of its capacity (for example, "5 h 10 min planned of 8 h"). A red bar means the day is overbooked.

Plan one job

The To plan list holds the jobs that aren't planned yet.

  1. In Choose a press, pick the press or machine. Only those that run the job's method are offered.
  2. In Day, pick the day.

SKUFlow works out how long the job takes from the press's set-up time and speed.

Plan every unplanned job

Ask for a plan

Click Plan (it shows how many jobs are waiting, for example Plan 6 jobs).

Check it

Plan the unplanned jobs shows where each job would go: rush orders first, then the earliest in-hands date, each on the press that runs its method and can fit it soonest. Jobs with no press that runs their method are listed apart.

Save it

Click Plan them. You can still move any job afterwards.

Outsourced jobs aren't planned on your presses; the decorator schedules them.
