How customers approve a proof
What your customer sees on their quote page, and how approving the quote approves the artwork.
Your customer reviews proofs on the same page where they review and approve the quote. There's no separate login or app.
What the customer sees
On the quote page, under Artwork proofs, each design shows:
- the proof's version and whether it's Waiting for your approval, Approved or Changes requested;
- the mockups of the design on the product, in the colors ordered;
- each print location: the method, print size, ink colors or stitch count, and the artwork used;
- the comments so far, from the customer and your team.
What the customer can do
- Comment: ask a question or leave a note. Your team sees it on the quote.
- Request changes: ask for something to change ("Make the logo a little bigger"). The proof and the quote become Changes requested, and the customer sees that you have their note.
- Approve quote: approving the quote also approves the artwork proofs above it. The page says so: "Approving accepts the artwork proofs above."
A quote can't be approved while one of its proofs has changes requested. Send the new proof first; then the customer can approve.
What's recorded
When the customer approves, each proof records who approved it and when, along with the network address and browser they used. You see this on the quote as "Approved by" with the name and date.
If the customer approves by phone or in person, and you mark the quote approved yourself, the proofs are approved too and recorded as approved by your team.
