What AI can see
How SKUFlow keeps its AI inside each person's permissions, hides sensitive details, and records what AI does.
AI in SKUFlow works under the same rules as the people in your business. Here is what it sees and what it can't.
SKUFlow AI sees what you see
- SKUFlow AI works as you, with your role. It can only look up what you could open yourself and only make changes you could make. A member's SKUFlow AI can only read.
- Costs and margins are left out of everything it reads unless your role can see them (owners and admins).
- Sensitive custom fields (such as account numbers or private notes) are always hidden from it,

••••, even when you're allowed to see them. Open the record yourself to read one. - It knows your business's name, your name and role, today's date and the page you're on. It doesn't read other records until it needs them for your question.
Your chats are private
Your conversations with SKUFlow AI are visible only to you: not to your owner, admin or anyone else in the business. You can delete any of them. See Saved chats.
Every change is on record
SKUFlow AI never changes anything without your approval, and every approved change is recorded in Settings → Activity log under your name with the channel SKUFlow AI (assistant). Changes made by an API key or a connected AI app are recorded as theirs, acting for the person they belong to.
Drafts
Drafts (website pages, store words, review replies, campaigns) are written from your own SKUFlow records and what you type. They never invent reviews, prices or offers, and nothing is sent until you send it.
Who provides the AI
SKUFlow's AI features use Claude, made by Anthropic. SKUFlow sends only what the task at hand needs, within the limits above. When you import, for example, AI sees only the column headers and up to three example values per column.
AI assistants outside SKUFlow
When you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant to SKUFlow, that assistant reads your SKUFlow data through your connection, under your permissions and the access you chose for it. What it does with that data is governed by that assistant's own terms. Sensitive actions still wait for your approval in SKUFlow. See Use SKUFlow from ChatGPT or Claude.
