Sales tax

Set your default rate

Set the sales tax rate SKUFlow uses where no tax rule, address rate or business unit default applies.

The default rate is the fallback: it's used for any sale that no tax rule, address rate or business unit default covers. If you only sell in one place at one rate, it may be all you need. Owners and admins can change it.

  1. Go to Settings → Taxes.
  2. Under Default rate, enter the Default rate (%), such as 8.25. Leave it empty for No tax where nothing else applies.
  3. Turn on The default rate taxes shipping if shipping is taxable where you sell.
  4. Click Save.

New quotes and invoices use the new default. Quotes and invoices already taxed keep their tax until you update it. See Tax on quotes, invoices and stores.

If you ship to customers in other states, leave the default empty and add a tax rule for each state you collect in. Sales outside those states then carry no tax.
