Check an address
See the sales tax rate a sale shipped to an address gets, and which rules make it up.
Before you rely on your rules, check them: enter an address and see the rate, the clothing and shipping rates, and the rules behind them. Anyone on your team can check.
- Go to Settings → Taxes.
- Under Check an address, fill in the City, County, State or province and ZIP or postal code (as many as your rules use).
- Click Check.

You see the rate, Clothing and Shipping rates where they differ, and the rules that applied. If no rule matches, the result says where the rate came from instead, such as your Default rate, or No rate applies.
Check an address in each state and city you sell in after you add or import rules.
