Branding and tax per unit
Give a business unit its own logo, phone, email and invoice footer, and a default tax rate for its quotes and invoices.
Each unit can show its own contact details on its invoices and quotes, and use its own default tax rate. Anything you leave blank uses the business's own.
Branding
Edit the unit
In Settings → Business units, open the unit's Actions menu and click Edit.
Fill in Branding
- Phone and Email: shown instead of the business's.
- Logo URL: an https link to an image.
- Invoice footer: printed at the foot of its invoices and quotes, such as license numbers or terms.
Save
Click Save changes.
Your business's name stays on every document, with the unit shown as the division, for example "Northside Prints · Embroidery".
Branding changes show on the unit's invoice and quote pages for customers right away.
Default tax rate
Under Tax, set Default tax rate (%). It's used on the unit's new quotes and invoices when no rate is typed, the ship-to address has no rate of its own and none of your tax rules covers it. Tax-exempt customers are never taxed. See Sales tax.
