How customers sign in
How customers sign in with a code, what happens when one email is on several accounts, and how long they stay signed in.
Customers never need a password. This page explains what they see, so you can help a customer who calls.
Signing in
- On your sign-in page (Sign in to your account), the customer enters the email or mobile number you have on file and clicks Send me a code.
- A 6-digit code arrives by email or text. Emails also have a link that signs them in with one tap.
- They enter the code and click Sign in.
Codes work for 10 minutes and only once. Send a new code gets another.

"If it's on file, a code is on its way"
The sign-in page never says whether an email or number belongs to a customer. If nothing arrives, check that the customer's email or mobile number in SKUFlow matches what they typed.
A code also won't go to an address that bounced or a number that replied STOP. Ask the customer to use another address you have on file.
One email, several accounts
If the same email or number is on more than one customer at your business (a person who orders for two companies, for example), they're asked Which account? after entering the code and choose the one to open.
Staying signed in
Customers stay signed in on that device for 30 days after they last used the portal. They can click Sign out anytime, and you can sign them out too: see Sign a customer out.
Old links
If a customer opens a quote, invoice or portal link you've since replaced or revoked, they see Sign in to see this. After signing in, they land on that record.
