API keys, the REST API, the MCP server for AI assistants, and webhooks.
Everything you can do in the SKUFlow app, you can do through the API. The app, SKUFlow AI and the MCP server all call the same API, with the same permissions and the same activity log, so there is no "app-only" feature you have to work around.
You have three ways in:
- REST API. JSON over HTTPS at
https://app.skuflow.ai/api. Use it from your own code, a spreadsheet script, Zapier-style tools or anything that can send a web request. - MCP server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI assistant so it can work in SKUFlow
for you, at
https://app.skuflow.ai/api/mcp. - Webhooks. SKUFlow sends signed events (a quote approved, an invoice paid, an order shipped) to your URL as they happen.
Quick start
Create an API key
In SKUFlow, open Settings → Developers and click Create API key. Pick an access level,
create the key and copy it. It starts with skf_ and is shown only once. See
Authentication.
Settings → Developers with API keys and Connect an AI assistant

Find your business's id
Almost every path starts with /organizations/{organizationId}, where organizationId is your
business's id. A key works only in the business it was made in.
The id isn't shown on a SKUFlow screen yet. The quickest way to get it: in Settings →
Developers → Webhooks, click Add endpoint with any https address you can read (a
request-inspector URL works), then click Send test event and open the delivery's Request.
The event body's organizationId is your id. Every record the API returns carries it too.
Check it, and see what your key may do, with Your role and permissions:
curl "https://app.skuflow.ai/api/organizations/$ORGANIZATION_ID/permissions" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SKUFLOW_API_KEY"Make your first call
List your customers:
curl "https://app.skuflow.ai/api/organizations/$ORGANIZATION_ID/customers?limit=5" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SKUFLOW_API_KEY"The answer has items and a total. See Pagination.
Who can use it
- The API, the MCP server and webhooks are on the Pro plan. On other plans, calls with a key
answer
402 PLAN_UPGRADE_REQUIRED. - Owners and admins create and revoke API keys and webhooks.
- A key acts as the person who made it. It never does more than that person's role allows today: if their role changes or they leave, the key follows.
